به گزارش خبرگزاری خبرآنلاین؛ مورینیو پس از تساوی رم مقابل ساسولو به DAZN گفت:«تیمی داشتیم که میخواست مقابل حریفی سرسخت پیروز شود. شرمندهام که بهعلت رفتار یک بازیکن غیرحرفهای، به تلاشهای دیگر بازیکنان خیانت شد! نام آن بازیکن را به شما نمیگویم. ۱۶ بازیکن در زمین داشتم و رفتار ۱۵ نفر مورد پسند من بود. در ماه ژانویه او باید دنبال یک باشگاه جدید بگردد.»
مورینیو از بردن نام بازیکنی که کمکاریاش او را عصبانی کرده بود، خودداری کرد، اما طبق گزارش نشریه کوریره دلواسپورت، بازیکن مورد اشاره آقای خاص دفاع راست هلندی تیم ریک کارسدورپ است. او دقیقه ۶۵ به جای زکی چلیک به میدان رفت و نه تنها در چندین دوئل انفرادی مغلوب شد، و سانترهایی بیهدف و کمدقت انجام داد، بلکه با یارگیری ضعیف خود زمانی که آرمان لورینته حرکت منجر به گل پنامونتی را استارت زد، در باز شدن دروازه تیمش نقش داشت.
