Manchester City’s financial case dominated the buildup to Sunday’s trip to Liverpool, with Enzo Maresca insisting the club will appeal after being found guilty on more than 100 Premier League financial rule charges. Maresca said City’s titles are not tainted, revealed he had spoken with club bosses after the verdict, and suggested he would remain even if the punishment brought relegation to League One.
