Liverpool committed to signing €100m ‘number one target’ as FSG ‘call Real Madrid’
Liverpool are keen on a 2026 summer deal for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, as the Premier League club call Real Madrid about Xabi Alonso.
Paris Saint-Germain have agreed a deal in principle to sign Ferran Torres from Barcelona for about £43 million, capping a strong week in which they also lifted the UEFA Super Cup. PSG beat Aston Villa 2-1, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue scoring the goals. Villa still found a bright note in defeat as 17-year-old Brian Madjo marked his debut with a goal after an eight-month wait to play a competitive match.
Tottenham are closing in on two major exits. Djed Spence is set to travel to Italy for an Inter medical before a move worth €35 million including add-ons, while Cristian Romero has a finalized agreement to join Atletico Madrid. In another notable deal, Fenerbahce have completed the permanent signing of Romelu Lukaku from Napoli.
Juventus are pushing through significant business of their own. They have reached a verbal agreement with Bologna for Jhon Lucumi in a deal worth €20 million including add-ons, while Dusan Vlahovic has officially joined Besiktas and confirmed his departure. Lazio are moving for Davide Frattesi, with the midfielder booked for a medical ahead of a €15 million transfer from Inter.
At Manchester United, Michael Carrick has said more signings are needed before his first full season in charge, though he made clear Marcus Rashford remains in his plans. United have also decided Bruno Fernandes will not be sold in this window. Away from the Premier League, Leicester City’s owners, King Power, want more than £200 million to sell the club, and West Ham are preparing for their first league season outside the top flight since 2011-12.
