علی کفاشیان، رئیس اسبق فدراسیون فوتبال، درباره رد صلاحیت خود برای انتخابات پیش روی فدراسیون، به ورزش سه گفت: «کمیته بدوی صلاحیت من را رد کرد اما من وقتی دلیلش را در اساسنامه نگاه کردم، آن را دلیل موجهی ندیدم و بر همین اساس هم اعتراض نوشتم.»
کفاشیان در ادامه گفت: «من میخواستم یک فضای جدید برای فوتبال و رقابتی در انتخابات ایجاد شود که مجمع به من یا هرکسی که خواستند رای بدهند. در هر صورت در هر صورت من تابع قانون و مقررات هستم.»
کمیته بدوی انتخابات فدراسیون فوتبال، صلاحیت علی کفاشیان و شهاب عزیزی خادم، دو رئیس پیشین فدراسیون فوتبال را برای حضور در انتخابات رد کرده و درصورت تایید نظر کمیته بدوی در کمیته استیناف انتخابات فدراسیون فوتبال، انتخابات ۱۱ اسفند با حضور مهدی تاج، حیدر بهاروند و امیر عابدینی، برگزار خواهد شد.

In Serie A, Lecce and Fiorentina drew 1-1. Tiago Gabriel’s equalizer kept hope alive for Lecce, while Fiorentina stayed eight points clear of the relegation zone with five rounds left. Fiorentina also suffered an injury concern when Robin Gosens went off after 11 minutes with a muscular problem.
