Bologna delivered the standout result in Serie A, beating Napoli 3-2 at the Stadio Maradona and tightening the race for Champions League places. Napoli came back from 2-0 down, but Jonathan Rowe sealed Bologna’s win with an acrobatic volley. The result leaves five teams within five points for three Champions League spots, with Juventus, Milan, Roma and Como still in the mix. Antonio Conte said Napoli did not deserve to lose, but added it is not a fluke if his side keeps falling behind early. He said the target now is to secure Champions League football.

Conte also confirmed Kevin De Bruyne missed the game after a clash of heads in training sent him to hospital. He said there was no head trauma, but De Bruyne needed four stitches. Napoli did welcome back Giovanni Di Lorenzo after more than three months out.

Serie A has also confirmed its Week 37 schedule, with the full round to be played on Sunday. Five matches will kick off in the early slot, including Roma-Lazio, Genoa-Milan and Juventus-Fiorentina. In a separate decision, Lega Serie A president Luigi De Siervo confirmed the 2026-27 Supercoppa Italiana will not be played in Saudi Arabia, with the United States and Italy possible hosts.

Inter have an injury concern before Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final against Lazio. Marcus Thuram is a major doubt, while Hakan Calhanoglu is still out. Marco Guida will referee the final, with Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni on VAR. At Milan, pressure continued to build. Igli Tare said the right attention has been lacking in recent weeks and did not rule out a training retreat before the trip to Genoa. Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi also said director Tony D’Amico is being pursued by other clubs and could leave.
